Liguria is our Vermentino-based blend that is both incredibly rich and relatively full-bodied yet balanced by the natural acidity of Pinot Grigio. Our Vermentino vines are the oldest in the Eastern US and some of the oldest planted in the United States.
Vermentino is one of the most underrated Italian varietals with a complex, lively aroma and flavor. Lovers of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Viognier will be intrigued by Vermentino. Our Vermentino has delicious grapefruit and lime sensations backed up by incredible minerality and salinity from our site's unique soil structure. Liguria pairs well with pan-seared branzino (sea bass) or bucatini aglio e olio. Also pungent cheeses like Gorgonzola offer complementary flavors to Vermentino.
