Less than 20 cases left of this Raffaldini wine 'named one of the best in the World.' 

Our 2017 Grande Riserva is almost sold out with less than 20 cases remaining of this remarkable vintage. The proprietary blend of Sagrantino, Montepulciano, and Petit Verdot made with Appassimento received a 97 point score and Best Premium Non-Bordeaux Red Blend at the San Francisco International Wine Competition held last month. A double gold wine must go through a rigorous judging process and all the judges deliberate and must agree on the wine's quality. Double Golds are only awarded to the very few entries that receive a Gold medal rating by all members of the judging panel; these are among the finest wines in the world.

This holiday season we are filling the wine barrel with The Crossnore School! When you come to Raffaldini to do your holiday shopping or family outing, bring along a new, unwrapped toy for the wine barrel! Crossnore School & Children’s Home is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing residential foster care for children in crisis from North Carolina. With three locations, Crossnore School is committed to providing a sanctuary of hope and healing for children.

Four Seasons Wine Tasting Dinner: Winter

The Four Seasons Wine Tasting Dinners are held Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and are hosted by Owner and Winemaker Jay Raffaldini. Each dinner features four seasonal food courses and four specially chosen wines to complement the food. Culinary and wine descriptions will be given during the evening to enhance your enjoyment. This is an opportunity to share your food and wine passion with like-minded friends. The atmosphere will be relaxed and casual with a focus on meeting new friends and enjoying la dolce vita. Cost is $99.00 + tax per person and is all-inclusive.

Chocolate and Cheers! Dessert and Wine Pairing

The perfect pairing! Wine and dessert! Join us for this 2 hour event where we will pair four Raffaldini wines with four decadent desserts from Pastry Chef Ann Medlin of Catering by Ann. Learn the ingredients and technique involved in the creation of each dessert and why they pair perfectly with each wine. The event includes a sample of 4 wines along with a dessert pairing for each wine.

Salon Tasting: Sagrantino, with Jay Raffaldini
Saturday, January 25

Take your taste buds on a journey with Owner Jay Raffaldini as we explore the rare Sagrantino varietal. Jay has curated a flight of four top examples of this expressive red from around the world, including our very own Sagrantino, Il Falco. The wines will be presented blind allowing you to focus on the differences in flavor and texture, and so you can explore your sensory abilities and hopefully gain a new appreciation for this wonderful varietal. 

Join Jay in the barrel room of the Raffaldini winery for this intimate tasting experience. This event is limited to 48 guests. Antipasti will be provided by Bottles & Boards.

The 2020 North Carolina Fine Wines Awards Gala will be a five course dinner and wine pairing, with wines selected from our 2019 Award Winning Vineyards. The Gala, now in its fourth year, is a celebration that is open to the Public to watch as the winning wines which will make up the 2020 NC Fine Wines Showcase are announced. These are the top 12 wines that were selected by Advanced Sommeliers from the Court of Master Sommeliers. You can learn about what's going on in North Carolina's $2 billion dollar wine industry and why the Yadkin Valley AVA was voted one of the 10 best regions in the country for wine.
