Salon Tasting: Montepulciano

Join Owner Jay Raffaldini and Winemaker Chris Nelson for a special event – the Raffaldini Montepulciano Salon Tasting. Our Montepulciano will face off against four of the worlds’ finest Montepulicano wines in this battle to be the best. Guests will participate in a blind tasting of all of the wines and decide how our Montepulciano fares against the competition.  2021 Grande Riserva Release

You're invited to join Owner Jay Raffaldini and Winemaker Chris Nelson as they present our 2021 Grande Riserva at our winery. As the name implies, Grande Riserva is a wine that represents the utmost and very best efforts of all that we do from the vineyard to the winery. What makes this release so unique was the wonderful growing weather that brought in balanced and full bodied grapes to the winery which was further magnified through increase use of the Appassimento drying process.
Ticket price includes a glass of 2021 Grande Riserva and light Hors D'oeuvres.

La Dolce Vita Release

We're excited to unveil our newest release of La Dolce Vita. La Dolce Vita (translates from the Italian as The Sweet Life) is our version of the widely popular Italian sweet wine called Moscato and is the only sweet wine we make. What makes La Dolce Vita so lovely is the aromatic profile of flowers is supported by acidity and sparkling bubbles to balance the sweetness of the wine while retaining freshness. Best served chilled it is a delightful wine designed to pair with dry cheeses and fruit or as a standalone when simply having relaxing moments a sparkling Moscato-style wine that's bursting with aroma and effervescence.

Coming in January 2024:
 The 2023 olive harvest at the groves of our friends at Tamia has just finished; nature took her time. Raffaldini Delicato and Robusto olive oils will be available again in January 2024. Also coming in January is our new product offering from Tamia, who has partnered with a company in Modena, to produce a white wine vinegar and a black Balsamic vinegar that will be featured at Raffaldini. All four products are available to pre-order. Barbara Raffaldini will be offering tasting of the 2023 olive oils and both of the vinegars in the Tasting Room as soon as they arrive. Raffaldini Wines Now Available Across NC
 After nearly two decades of having Raffaldini wines available exclusively at the Villa we have found a wholesale distribution firm that targets wine shops and restaurants rather than mass supermarket, etc. We sought to build connections with independent retailers and restaurateurs so we can still tell our story to the sales outlet and build on the connection that we have with all of you. To begin, we agreed to have two value-based wines (Bella Misto and Bianco) as well as higher end (Vermentino Superiore and Montepulciano Riserva) available for sale.
To locate a store near you, simply go to raffaldini.com then hover your mouse over shop on the header. When the drop down menu appears, click "Find Raffaldini Wines" at the bottom of the list. Once on the Raffaldini Store Locator, you can use the drop down to search by type or location or type in your zip code and search a radius for outlets near you. If you don’t see your favorite wine shop listed please email me directly at jay@raffaldini.com and I will work with our wholesale partner to get them in the store near you.

We have partnered with Tock to provide a reservation system for tastings and flights at the Villa. Our continued goal is to provide the best experience for you, our valued customers and friends. While walk-ins are welcome and a reservation is not required, we believe that making a reservation will enhance your visit.
As a general reminder to all our guests, to provide a safe, relaxing, and intimate experience for our guests, all visitors must be at least 21 years of age. Infants and children are no longer permitted at the Tasting Room, except on holidays and specially designated family days when we can appropriately staff and have children friendly activities available.
