Raffaldini Vineyards and Winery LLC

Vineyard Manager Jason Krug and our winemaking team are hard at work in the fields. They are shoot thinning the established vines, preserving only the best shoots for the upcoming vintage. They installed a new acre of vineyard, and planted more than 10,000 vines of a familiar favorite, Montepulciano, and a brand new varietal, Trebbiano Toscano. 

Jason says that due to the mild winter, "[the vines] are out two weeks earlier. We escaped the recent frost with minimal damage." Thanks to recent rains in excess of three inches, the newly planted vines have sustenance and the ground is soft enough for Jason and crew to plant the remaining 2,000 vines on his to do list.

When not helping plant vines, Winemaker Chris Nelson reports that the winery staff were able to hand bottle the new 2019 Auguri, which is undergoing a secondary fermentation currently to transform the still wine into the crisp, refreshing sparkling wine our guests have come to know and love. They are also working on a Riserva Auguri which will be aged on lees for an additional 6-12 months to increase mouthfeel and texture. He is looking forward to this exciting new project. Chris and his team have also assembled the 2019 Vermentino Surperiore, which is finishing cold stabilization and will be ready to bottle later this month.

The Four Seasons Wine Tasting Dinners are held Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and are hosted by Owner Jay Raffaldini. Each dinner features four seasonal food courses and four specially chosen wines which complement each course. Culinary and wine descriptions will be given during the evening to enhance your enjoyment. This is an opportunity to share your food and wine passion with like-minded friends. The atmosphere will be relaxed and casual with a focus on meeting new friends and enjoying la dolce vita.
