WINE CLUB MEMBER FEATURE
Keith and Mary Lou Church
Keith Church and his wife Mary Lou have been wine club members since July 15, 2018. You may recognize Keith and have tasted his delicious honey when he has been onsite at various events. We caught up with Keith to talk to him about his love of honey. Here is what he had to say:
“Beekeeping has been a part of my life since I was a child here in Wilkes. On average I manage 20 honey bee hives per year but have had up to 40. Being a hobby that has turned into a micro business, it is still a passion. I am a Certified Beekeeper and NC Certified Honey Producer. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with others. Living in Wilkes we have 2 honey seasons and therefore 2 honey varieties, Wildflower honey in the Spring and Sourwood honey in Summer. The most fun is selling my honey at festivals and at Raffaldini Vineyards so I can meet people and listen to the stories they share.”
Please email Keith to purchase honey or learn more about the farm.

Piedmont Opera Presents "The Marriage of Figaro" March 22-24
Today is Figaro's wedding day but the day is going to be full of complications. The Count is chasing Figaro's Bride while a young man is chasing the Count's wife, while an old spinster is chasing Figaro while...a lot is going on here! Leave it to Mozart to sort it all out with dazzling music. Expect disguises, mistaken identities, and a lot of hiding in (and under) things...

Cabrini - in Theaters March 8
Cabrini is the powerful epic of Francesca Severio Cabrini, an Italian immigrant and Catholic missionary who arrives in New York City in 1889 and is greeted by disease, crime, and impoverished children. Cabrini sets off on a daring mission to convince the hostile mayor to secure housing and healthcare for society's most vulnerable. With broken English, poor health and fighting against the prevalent anti-Italian sentiment of the times, Cabrini uses her entrepreneurial mind to build an empire of hope unlike anything the world had ever seen. On July 7, 1946, she became the first United States citizen to be canonized a saint by the Roman Catholic Church, and in 1950 Pope Pius XII formally proclaimed St. Frances Xavier Cabrini as the Patroness of Immigrants, recognizing her efforts on their behalf across the Americas in schools, orphanages, hospitals, and prisons.

Raffaldini Wines Now Available Across NC
After nearly two decades of having Raffaldini wines available exclusively at the Villa we have found a wholesale distribution firm that targets wine shops and restaurants rather than mass supermarket, etc. We sought to build connections with independent retailers and restaurateurs so we can still tell our story to the sales outlet and build on the connection that we have with all of you. To begin, we agreed to have two value-based wines (Bella Misto and Bianco) as well as higher end (Vermentino Superiore and Montepulciano Riserva) available for sale.
To locate a store near you, simply go to raffaldini.com then hover your mouse over shop on the header. When the drop down menu appears, click "Find Raffaldini Wines" at the bottom of the list. Once on the Raffaldini Store Locator, you can use the drop down to search by type or location or type in your zip code and search a radius for outlets near you. If you don’t see your favorite wine shop listed please email me directly at jay@raffaldini.com and I will work with our wholesale partner to get them in the store near you.

Planning a Visit?
We encourage you to read our visitor experience guide. Your cooperation will help us provide the best possible experience for all our patrons.
We have partnered with Tock to provide a reservation system for tastings and flights at the Villa. Our continued goal is to provide the best experience for you, our valued customers and friends. While walk-ins are welcome and a reservation is not required, we believe that making a reservation will enhance your visit.
As a general reminder to all our guests, to provide a safe, relaxing, and intimate experience for our guests, all visitors must be at least 21 years old, except on holidays and specially designated family days when the whole family is welcome and we have children friendly activities available. Please see our calendar for a full list of Family Days.
