Raffaldini Vineyards Dominates NC Fine Wine Competition
At the 8th annual Wine Gala where the winning wines were announced, Raffaldini took home three of the best twelve wines made in the State. For those not familiar with this competition it is among the most rigorous in the country from the rules for submission to the highest levels of certified judges. Our 2019 Raffaldini Patrimonio took honors earning a rare Double Gold followed by Gold Medal Minners, 2019 Grand Riserva, 2022 Vermentino Superiore. Rounding out the accolades were the Gold Medal winning 2019 Sagrantino, 2021 Sangiovese Classico, 2020 Montepulciano Riserva and our new release 2020 Mezzogiorno. All in all it was a glorious night for Raffaldini!

Winemaker Challenge | International Wine Competition
The Winemaker Challenge is one of the only competitions to be solely judged by winemakers. Over 2,000 wines from all over the world were submitted and all entries are judged blindly and have three levels of ranking: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Raffaldini was awarded Gold for three of our wines, 2019 Grande Riserva (93 points) 2022 Vermentino Superiore (93 points) and 2020 Montepulciano Riserva (91 points). Our 2019 Grande Riserva also received the honor of being selected as Best Italian Blend.

May is NC Wine Month!
May is recognized as North Carolina Wine Month. It is a time to recognize the industry's impact, drink some excellent North Carolina wine, and support local businesses.
North Carolina is home to more than 200 wineries with more than 525 individually owned grape vineyards on 2,300 acres are spread across the state. As we Transition From our Award Winning 2021 Girasole, we Welcome our New 2022 Girasole- On Sale Now!
This elegant rosé, with its lovely rose gold coloring is made from gently, whole cluster pressed Sangiovese grapes; which brings out notes of strawberry and watermelon on the nose of this delicious summertime rose wine. A solid acid backbone makes this wine refreshing on the palate as well as pairing well with cheese and crackers, salads, and entrees with fish.

Join Winemaker, Chris Nelson in the Winery for an exclusive sneak peak of unfinished wines still undergoing the aging process from our 2021 and 2022 vintages. This Barrel Tasting includes both red and white varietals, and an in-depth conversation with Chris on various wine-making topics. This event is for Wine Club Members only and is limited to 40 guests.

Held in the barrel room of the winery, guests will enjoy a blind tasting of Montepulciano Riserva and some of the greatest super Tuscan wines in the world. The wines are paired with antipasti. This fun event is limited to sixty people. See if you can guess which of the wines is our Montepulciano Riserva!

Four Seasons Summer Dinner
July, 22nd | 6:30pm-9:00pm
The Four Seasons Wine Tasting Dinners are held Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and are hosted by Owner Jay Raffaldini. Each dinner features four seasonal food courses and four specially chosen Raffaldini wines to complement each course. Culinary and wine descriptions will be given during the evening to enhance your enjoyment. This is an opportunity to share your food and wine passion with like-minded friends. The atmosphere will be relaxed and casual with a focus on meeting new friends and enjoying la dolce vita. Cost is $110.00 + tax per person and is all-inclusive. Or $150 + tax per person that is all-inclusive and includes shuttle service from either the Fairfield Inn in Elkin or the Hampton Inn in Jonesville.

We are partnering with the Piedmont Opera to bring you the singing sensations Jodi Burns and Kristin Schwecke as they duel off to see who the bigger opera diva is. Tickets are $42 and include two glasses of wine. 100% of the proceeds of ticket sales will go to support the Piedmont Opera.

Raffaldini Wines Now Available Across NC
 After nearly two decades of having Raffaldini wines available exclusively at the Villa we have found a wholesale distribution firm that targets wine shops and restaurants rather than mass supermarket, etc. We sought to build connections with independent retailers and restaurateurs so we can still tell our story to the sales outlet and build on the connection that we have with all of you. To begin, we agreed to have two value-based wines (Bella Misto and Bianco) as well as higher end (Vermentino Superiore and Montepulciano Riserva) available for sale.
To locate a store near you, simply go to raffaldini.com then hover your mouse over shop on the header. When the drop down menu appears, click "Find Raffaldini Wines" at the bottom of the list. Once on the Raffaldini Store Locator, you can use the drop down to search by type or location or type in your zip code and search a radius for outlets near you. If you don’t see your favorite wine shop listed please email me directly at jay@raffaldini.com and I will work with our wholesale partner to get them in the store near you.

We have partnered with Tock to provide a reservation system for tastings and flights at the Villa and on the Piazza. Our continued goal is to provide the best experience for you, our valued customers and friends. While walk-ins are welcome and a reservation is not required, we believe that making a reservation will enhance your visit.
As a general reminder to all our guests, to provide a safe, relaxing, and intimate experience for our guests, all visitors must be at least 21 years of age. Infants and children are no longer permitted at the Tasting Room, except on holidays and specially designated family days when we can appropriately staff and have children friendly activities available.
