Italian Kitchen Cooking Demo
Sunday, January 27 | 1pm-3pm


Join us for an afternoon of wine and food as Executive Chef Corey Hooks, demonstrates two signature Italian recipes. Learn some helpful tips from Chef Corey and watch him prepare a roasted Brussels Sprout dish with Balsamic, Bacon and Maple followed by a Smoked Mushroom Pasta with Brandy Cream Sauce and Thyme. Price includes the cooking demonstration, food sampling, 2 glasses of wine and recipe cards. General Admission is $40 plus tax per person.

Make Plans to Attend the 2019 NC Fine Wines Gala

The NC Fine Wines Competition is the toughest state wine competition in the country, and you can be side-by-side with owners and winemakers from across the state when the coveted NC Fine Wines case awards are announced! This is your chance to attend the awards ceremony and enjoy an exquisite dinner paired with NC Fine Wines. The event will host the biggest and brightest stars in the industry, and there is a limited allocation of seating open to the public. 

The North Carolina Fine Wines Society was established as a nonprofit with two goals. The first goal is to promote the quality of North Carolina Fine Wines (Vinifera & Hybrids). The second goal is to fund a scholarship for NC students, attending NC Colleges or Universities, pursuing careers in Enology, Viticulture, and wine related Hospitality and Agritourism programs.Help us support the NC wine industry's growth by donating to our 501(c)(3) Scholarship Fund.

Afternoon with the Winemaker

Join Owner Jay Raffaldini and the winemaking team as they guide you on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Raffaldini Winery. Learn how we craft our award-winning wines and go step-by-step through the winemaking process with our team all while enjoying a glass of current vintage wine and samples of wines in the making. 

Two Times, 1pm & 3pm

Wine Club Members: $20 + tax per person includes glass of Raffaldini wine

Amore! Dessert & Wine Pairing
Sunday, February 10  | 1pm - 3pm

The perfect pairing! Wine and dessert! Join us for this 2 hour event where we will pair four Raffaldini wines with four decadent desserts from Pastry Chef Maria Kemp, owner of  Beyond Decadence. Learn the ingredients and technique involved in the creation of each dessert and why they pair perfectly with each wine. Tickets are $30 + tax per person and include a sample of 4 wines along with a dessert pairing for each wine.

Meet the Team:
Todd Shaw - Facilities Director 

 

Todd is the Director of Facilities at Raffaldini Vineyards. Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, he studied Fine Arts at Antioch College in Ohio. After college, Todd worked in the photo industry taking him to NYC and Portland, OR. It was in Portland that Todd became interested in the wine industry. Todd moved to NC in 2017 and started working as a member of the vineyard crew. When Todd is not fixing, maintaining or improving things at Raffaldini, he enjoys spending time on his farm with his partner David.
