Step into the epicenter of Italian culture in the Piedmont as Chianti in the Carolinas comes alive on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21.
Food vendors, musicians, artists, and craftsmen from across the region will gather for this annual outdoor celebration of Italian food, art, music, and—of course—wine.
 Enjoy the lively festival atmosphere or take a deeper dive with exclusive breakout sessions led by Jay Raffaldini and our winemaking team, featuring discussions on vineyard practices, winemaking, and more.

Join Jay Raffaldini as he pours wine at one of his favorite wine shops, Carolina Wine Merchants Vinous Wine Bar in downtown Sanford on Saturday September 6th from 1 to 4 pm. Joining Jay will be the owner and friend Jake Roberts. As space is extremely limited we recommend you reserve your spot now and as always, Jay might have a few surprises up his sleeve.

Four Seasons Wine Tasting Dinner: Fall

The Four Seasons Wine Tasting Dinners are held Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and are hosted by Jay Raffaldini. Each dinner features four seasonal food courses and four specially chosen wines to complement the food. Culinary and wine descriptions will be given during the evening to enhance your enjoyment.
This is an opportunity to share your food and wine passion with like-minded friends. The atmosphere will be relaxed and casual with a focus on meeting new friends and enjoying la dolce vita.

Take a Hike! With Jay Raffaldini
Sunday, October 19 | 10:00am - 1:30pm
Join owner Jay Raffaldini and long time NC resident and outdoors-man Steve Nelson, as they show you the way through the Raffaldini woods and vineyards.
Wear sensible walking shoes and prepare yourself for a moderate 90 minute hike followed by a hearty luncheon which of course includes wine! During the hike, Jay will share details of the vineyard and Steve will share his love of the woods.
Ticket includes a guided hike, lunch and two glasses of wine.
This event is for those age 21 and over.

 We are excited to unveil the first taste of our much heralded 2023 vintage, our greatest we have ever produced. After careful aging, these rich, dark reds are ready for blending and we need you to help us determine the blend for the Raffaldini Grande Riserva, our most powerful red wine!
Assemblaggio is a two-hour educational wine experience led by Owner Jay Raffaldini and winemaker Chris Nelson in our winery barrel room. Each blend you create will be carefully analyzed, sampled and help inspire our new vintage of Grande Riserva.
This is an opportunity to hone your winemaking knowledge and ability, learn more about grape varietals, and make a few new friends in the process. Blending trials will be held in the barrel room allowing you to experience the winery during the winemaking season.

Wine Club Member Spotlight
Carl and Terri Eisenstadt
Meet Carl & Terri Eisenstadt who have been married for forty-one years and reside in Columbia, SC. After decades driving all the way to Virginia to taste wine, they were happy to discover the wines they were looking for at Raffaldini. Their daughter Emily is Assistant Dean of Student Engagement at Davidson College, her husband Kyle is the Director of Development and Communications at GenOne Charlotte. They have a delightful 9 month old grandson Elliott. Carl is a much in demand tuner/technician in SC and beyond. He started his apprenticeship when he was fifteen and over the last fifty-six years he has worked with artists in every genre and enjoys keeping up with the latest in the industry by taking classes at the Steinway factory in NYC and through the Piano Technicians Guild. In addition to his regular schedule he has tuned for world renowned musicians including Bob Dylan, Harry Connick Jr., Ray Charles, Lee Greenwood, George Winston, Garrick Ohlsson, Dave Brubeck, Marian McPartland, Taj Mahal, Dr. John, Al Jarreau, Wynton Marsalis, Freddy Cole, and Terrance Blanchard. Terri owned her own business before starting a second career in education. She enjoys gardening, reading, baking/cooking and entertaining. Together they like to travel, taste good food and wine. Wine club members since 2015, Riserva level.

We encourage you to read our visitor experience guide. Your cooperation will help us provide the best possible experience for all our patrons.
We have partnered with Tock to provide a reservation system for tastings and flights at the Villa and on the Piazza. Our continued goal is to provide the best experience for you, our valued customers and friends. While walk-ins are welcome and a reservation is not required, we believe that making a reservation will enhance your visit.
As a general reminder to all our guests, to provide a safe, relaxing, and intimate experience for our guests, all visitors must be at least 21 years of age. Infants and children are no longer permitted at the Tasting Room, except on holidays and specially designated family days when we can appropriately staff and have child-friendly activities available. Please see our calendar for a full list of Family days.
