We are honored to announce our 2017 Grande Riserva received a 97 point score and Best Premium Non-Bordeaux Red Blend at the San Francisco International Wine Competition conducted last week. A double gold wine must go through a rigorous judging process included a blind tasting from the entire judging panel and all the judges deliberate and must agree on the wine's quality. Double Golds are only awarded to the very few entries that receive a Gold medal rating by all members of the judging panel; these are among the finest wines in the world.

Our reds are ready for blending and we need you to help us determine the blend for the Raffaldini Grande Riserva! Each session is a two-hour education wine experience led by Owner Jay Raffaldini in our winery barrel room. Each blend you create will be carefully analyzed, sampled and help inspire our new vintage of Grande Riserva.

This is an opportunity to hone your winemaking knowledge and ability, learn more about grape varietals, and make a few new friends in the process. Blending trials will be held in the barrel room allowing you to experience the winery during the winemaking session.

Beyond the Vines...Into the Community

10th Annual Taste of the South fundraiser in downtown Winston Salem Thursday, November 21

Join Raffaldini Vineyards and other community supporters to enjoy the stories and tastings of the very best in Southern Cuisine at Taste of the South. Authoring Action! transforms the lives of teens and the world through the power of creative writing, spoken word, visual and media arts. Many of our teens come from challenging backgrounds and are referred to us through the court system, school system and juvenile justice services. Our signature creative writing, spoken word, filmmaking, visual art & design programs offer our youth the tools to discover their unique voices.

We are honored to contribute to Share Charlotte's Giving Tuesday event. GivingTuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely-recognized shopping events, Black Friday and Cyber Monday - kicking off the charitable season. #GivingTuesday has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for nonprofits worldwide since it's inception in 2012.

Meditazione Available this Weekend!

We are pleased to announce the release of our 2016 Meditazione in the Villa Tasting Room and website on Friday, November 15^th. As the name implies, in Italy, a dessert wine is also known as a meditation wine for it is consumed at the end of the evening meal when one can relax and reflect upon the day and all that has transpired. It gives pause, slows one down, and allows time for what is commonly referred to as an "exhale moment.” Because it is a limited production wine, Meditazione will be bottle sales only.

This holiday season we are filling the wine barrel with The Crossnore School! When you come to Raffaldini to do your holiday shopping or family outing, bring along a new, unwrapped toy for the wine barrel! Crossnore School & Children’s Home is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing residential foster care for children in crisis from North Carolina. With three locations, Crossnore School is committed to providing a sanctuary of hope and healing for children.
