Grande Riserva Vertical Tasting
Saturday, August 23 | 1:00PM-3:00PM

Experience the evolution of our flagship wine through the years. Owner Jay Raffaldini and Winemaker Chris Nelson will lead a guided, blind vertical tasting of five distinguished vintages of Raffaldini Grande Riserva, served with small bites to complement the experience.
Grande Riserva is a wine of patience and reward—its bold structure and layered complexity deepen beautifully with age, revealing new dimensions of character and nuance over time. Crafted from Montepulciano, Tannat, and Petit Verdot, hand-harvested at peak ripeness, each grape is triple-sorted and dried using the traditional Appassimento process, intensifying its flavor and aromatics.
This is a rare opportunity to taste the story of our signature wine—one vintage at a time in a fun and engaging format.

Fall Wine Club Release

Our Fall Wine Club release is quickly approaching, and we can’t wait to share the new wines with you! While all sessions for our release events on August 2, 3, 9, and 10 are now fully booked, we still look forward to seeing you!
Starting August 2nd, we invite all of our wine club members to join us in the Tasting Room to pick up your Fall Wine Club package and enjoy a complimentary tasting of our three brand-new wines.
2023 Vermentino Rovere
A beautiful aromatic profile that highlights the benefits of an additional year of aging of sixteen months in our Botti program. Ripe melon with tropical notes like pineapple, guava, orange peel, passion fruit. Lots of layers of fruit keep evolving as the wine settles in the glass. On the palate, the wine has a full-bodied mouthfeel without showing any signs of being heavy from too much time in oak. Our final Vermentino Rovere is our best.
NV Montepulciano Riserva-
A classic Montepulciano nose of bright red fruits with a rustic, Old-World feel. Cherry, red currants, cranberry fruits on the nose. This wine has more elegance than the 2022 version as there is less Appassimento fruit in this wine. Red fruits dominate the palate followed by a nice creamy mid-palate and a hint of spice. There is plenty of acidity to support the medium weight palate providing a long, supple finish.
NV Il Falco
Our Sagrantino blend is a very complex wine with lots of power and depth. It all starts with the nose as this wine shows many different sides. Dark berry Petite Verdot fruit is followed by spicy red Sagrantino fruit. Next, we get layers of floral, violet, spicy jalapeno with green tea and herbal notes. The wine changes personalities from one minute to the next. On the palate, firm, full bodied tannins give way to lush blackberry fruit.
Also, we will also be releasing a few wines that will only be available to Superiore Club Members. If you have been considering upgrading your membership, now is the perfect time.

Wine Club Member Spotlight!
Randy and Paula Moore
Meet Wine Club Members Randy and Paula Moore! Originally from California’s Central Valley, the Moores spent four years in Paso Robles, a thriving wine region, until relocating to North Carolina in 2013 when Paula accepted a position as Chief Nursing Officer at Hugh Chatham.
With Randy’s lifelong background in farming, they purchased 37 acres in State Road and planted a 6-acre vineyard, continuing their shared passion for wine and the land. The move to the Yadkin Valley felt like coming home, with its growing number of wineries and vineyards. Paula now serves as Chief Administrative Officer at Alleghany Health in Sparta, NC, while Randy manages their vineyard full-time. Together, they enjoy golfing, hiking, fishing, and spending quality time with their grown children and grandson.
